Technical Apprentice Programs
We’re committed to developing early-in-career talent from non-traditional backgrounds through our technical apprentice program. We give each apprentice a training plan tailored to the department, role, and tech stack, with the intent to convert to a full-time Blue Cross role upon completion of the apprenticeship.

We are proud to sponsor high-school technology apprentices in partnership with the City of Boston. High-school interns will learn about professional settings and presence, and will receive targeted mentorship and development.

The objective of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts’s Actuarial Leadership Development Program (ALDP) is to produce Associates and Fellows of the Society of Actuaries who are business leaders. The program provides support for examinations, mentorship, and leadership development training, and rotates participants through multiple unique departments. Hiring for the ALDP is on a rolling basis.
