At Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, we have a Hybrid Work Model which offers associates flexible ways of working to help them balance their personal needs and professional goals.

At Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, we believe in wellness and that work/life balance is a key part of associate wellbeing. We provide a flexible hybrid work model in which roles are designated as resident (on site 4-5 days/week), mobile (on site 1-3 days/week), or eworker (on site 0-3 days/month).

eWorker

  • In office 0-3 days a month, as determined with your leader
  • When in office, can reserve bookable workspace
  • Company will provide a headset, docking station, monitor, keyboard, and mouse for home use
  • No qualified commuter benefit, but eligible for travel expense (mileage/parking) reimbursement when required to come into the office
  • Eligible for $50 monthly eWorker stipend (excludes interns)

Mobile Worker

  • In office 1-3 days per week, as determined with your leader
  • When in office, can reserve bookable workspace
  • Company will provide a headset, docking station, monitor, keyboard, and mouse for home use
  • Eligible for qualified commuter benefit - Subsidy of 75% for parking or transit orders up to a maximum benefit of $275 per month (excludes interns)
  • Not eligible for eWorker stipend

Resident

  • In office 4-5 days per week, as determined with your leader
  • Have assigned in-office space
  • Technology equipment supplied onsite 
  • Eligible for commuter benefit - Subsidy of 75% for parking or transit orders up to a maximum benefit of $275 per month (excludes interns)​​​​​​​
  • Not eligible for eWorker stipend​​​​​​​
