At Blue Cross, we know that mental health is health. That’s why we’re proud to name our Behavioral Health Care Management team as our first Mission Champion Team Award winner. This team works with adults and parents of children with mental health concerns to help them get the care they need — and they do it with grace, empathy, and expertise. Thank you for living our mission and bringing critical support to our members.

Michael is the first-ever Mission Champion Associate Award winner. He was nominated by his colleagues who highlighted his dedication and strong leadership, whether he is behind the scenes or in the spotlight. This award was created to recognize an associate who goes above and beyond to live our mission and be there for our members and our associates every single day. 2025 Be Community-Focused Award winner
As a longtime member of our BlueCrew Leadership Council, Helga has represented us at Service Day projects, Fitness Court openings, and Bluebikes launches. She also coordinated a backpack drive for Quincy kids and, outside work, led a donation effort for her home community in Cape Verde after devastating storms. We’re proud to have Helga on our team and inspired by the way she brings care and connection to everything she does.

Kristina, one of our benefits specialists, does so much to make Blue Cross stronger, including launching a mentoring program that started in our Women’s Inclusion Network Employee Resource Group and has grown companywide. Patrice is always thinking 10 steps ahead. She gets there by asking questions, seeking out perspectives, and never giving up. Her curiosity and perseverance mean she consistently goes beyond the issue at hand, gets at the root of it, and finds a true solution. Our organization, her team members, and our members are all better off because of her hard work. Patrice’s “always ask why” spirit doesn’t just make her great at her job — it makes her inspiring to be around.
