Diversity, Equity & Inclusion drive us

To build healthy communities, we need to fight racism and address inequities in health care. To succeed in that effort, we must build the strongest possible Blue — a diverse, inclusive team of all backgrounds, cultures, talents, and perspectives where everyone is respected, included, and empowered to contribute.

Committed from the top
"Each one of us has a role in making diversity and inclusion a part of everything we do. Whether we're answering the phones or leading a large group of associates, we can all seek out new perspectives, learn from those with different backgrounds and experiences, and welcome all styles and approaches. As we do, we're building the strength and flexibility we need to respond to the demands of an ever-changing marketplace.”

this is what we stand for

Equitable health care can't wait

We view racism as a public health crisis, and health care as a racial and social justice issue. We stand for promoting equity and inclusion, for fighting racism, and for uniting to build healthy communities.

With nearly three million members, we know firsthand that health care must be inclusive and accessible for diverse populations. That’s why we’re working to better represent our members.
