Our Culture is...
Rooted in the community we serve
At Blue Cross, you have the power to make a difference—not just at work, but in the communities we serve. Come be a part of our impassioned mission to help all Massachusetts residents lead healthier lives.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging leaders
To build healthy communities, we need to fight racism and address inequities in health care. To succeed in that mission, we're building the strongest possible Blue — a diverse, inclusive team where everyone is respected, included, and empowered to contribute.
Fostering Innovative Thinking
To create a better, more human future of health care, we need breakthrough solutions. We're building a skilled team of innovators to make them happen. Up for a challenge? Bring your curiosity, energy, and ideas to Blue.
Our hybrid work model balances work, life, and collaboration
At Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, we believe in wellness and that work/life balance is a key part of associate wellbeing. We provide a flexible hybrid work model in which roles are primarily designated as resident (on site 4-5 days/week), mobile (on site 1-3 days/week), eWorker (on site 0-3 days/month) or flex (on site 2 days/week) based on role.

What's Happening at Blue
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts has been recognized as a "Best Place to Work" for disability inclusion by the Disability Equality Index. A joint initiative of the American Association of People with Disabilities and Disability:IN, the index conducts a comprehensive, annual benchmarking survey that measures workplace disability inclusion policies and practices. "We're a first time participant," says Sue Sgroi, chief human resources officer, "so we are thrilled to be named to the DEI's list of best places to work for disability inclusion."
